We are assisting a solutions-based agricultural distributor to expand into Ontario. As the exclusive Canadian dealer of a world-class quality seed/grain cleaning and food processing equipment manufacturer, they are focused on growing their innovative processing ideas, robust and reliable equipment, and comprehensive support footprint in the Ontario marketplace. In business since 1993, over the past several years they have experienced rapid growth and are now ready to welcome an Equipment Sales & Account Manager (Territory Manager) to the team.


Reporting to the VP of Sales, the primary focus of this position is to generate new client opportunities through prospecting and building their current client relationship. Your business development, account management, and after-sales support experience are crucial to your success!

You will identify cross-selling opportunities and potential sales leads. Drawing on your farm background, you will build relationships, educate clients about the products, and through active listening, you will understand and provide solutions to the challenges their clients face. As you gain and maintain expert knowledge in our client's product line (single supplier), your mechanical aptitude and knowledge will assist in the equipment installation and demonstration process.

To be considered, you offer:
  • High motivation and an entrepreneurial mindset (desire to grow a business)
  • Proven communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate at the farm-gate and in the boardroom
  • Business development, relationship building, and account management aptitude; self-starter and planner
  • Technical knowledge of the seed and/or grain processing industry;
  • Industry contacts within the grain and seed industry in Ontario
  • Minimum of 3 years' sales experience in a business development/account management capacity
  • Post-secondary education in agriculture or business preferred
  • A farm background; supported by relationships and credibility in the marketplace
  • Willingness to travel throughout Ontario as required; planning routes locally and overnight travel
  • A Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN)
