Our client offers animal nutrition products and solutions for livestock, poultry and aquaculture worldwide and we have been engaged to assist them to hire 'the' qualified candidate to join their team as Western Canadian Sales Manager; providing sustainable solutions while promoting their products to key accounts - primarily within the livestock space. This is an immediately available opportunity for an individual in MB, SK, or AB.

Do you have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities?
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent in animal sciences, marketing, business or related area
  • 3-5 years feed additive sales experience in the agricultural industry of Western Canada.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Canadian dairy market.
  • Strong understanding of cow welfare and ability to work directly with producers to advise on issues.
  • Ability to move business forward.
  • Initiative to make sure resources are properly used to achieve maximum potential.
  • Team player to work with technical support resources, marketing, and other team members.
  • Analytical skills to quantify practical business plans and solutions to customer needs.
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and drive business results.
  • Bilingual in English and French would be an asset.
  • Canadian Social Insurance Number
If so, your skills would be required to:
  • Manage sales accounts to maximize short-term and long-term sales volume, revenue and profit targets
  • Optimize and manage the Western Canadian customer base by building greater partnerships with key accounts
  • Provide technical service support to key dairy producers
  • Participate in industry meetings and ensure current knowledge of the regional market
  • Maintain close relationships with internal business units to secure alignment on business strategy and effective use of technical resources
  • Travel primarily in the Western Canada region (depending on location) up to 50% of time.
